Defining and Strengthening Enabling Education

Enabling Education provides structured, academically rigorous pathways into higher education for students facing systemic barriers, improving participation, retention, and long-term success across the tertiary sector. NAEEA exists to define, strengthen, and champion Enabling Education as a vital discipline within Australian higher education. Through national advocacy, shared standards, collaborative research and sector leadership, we work to advance quality practice, support skills development, and expand opportunities for all students. At its core, NAEEA is committed to driving social mobility by ensuring that access to higher education is not determined by circumstance, but enabled through opportunity.
